If you just read the site
Nothing. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics scripts, no social buttons that phone home. The host keeps ordinary server logs (the address a page was requested from and when) for a short time to keep the site running. That's it.
If you sign in to rate a phone or suggest one
Signing in is a six-digit code sent to your email. There is no password. Your address is stored so that the code can be sent, so that reviews come from real people rather than bots, and so that you can edit or delete what you posted later. It is used for nothing else. No newsletter, no "we noticed you haven't visited," no sharing and no selling, ever. That would be against the whole point of the place.
What gets stored, exactly:
- Your email address, and a display name if you choose to add one.
- The ratings and reviews you write, and which phone each one is for.
- Any phone you suggest, with the details you typed in.
- A report, if you flag someone else's review.
- Timestamps for the above, so that the spam limits work.
Reviews show your display name, or "A club member" if you didn't set one. Your email is never shown to anyone.
Who holds it
Accounts and reviews live in a database hosted by Supabase, in the United States. They handle sending the sign-in email, so their systems see your address for that purpose. Nobody else does.
Deleting it
Your account page (the small drawn figure at the top right, once you're signed in) has a button that deletes your account and everything you've posted, immediately and for good. If you'd rather I do it, email hello@slowerliving.club from the address you signed in with.
Moderation
The first couple of reviews from a new member are read by a person before they show. Reviews with links, or words a person wouldn't say to a stranger, are held for reading too. I don't edit reviews; I approve them, hold them, or decline them.
